Formally established in June 2022, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou)(HKUST(GZ)) is a cooperatively run higher education institution between the Chinese mainland and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The Laboratory Animal Facility at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) is a newly established facility with state-of-the-art equipment and technology. Job Duties:

• Responsible for the biological purification experiment operation of laboratory animals, including in vitro fertilization (IVF), embryo transplantation, mouse genetic material freezing, microinjection technology, etc.

• Responsible for the strain management of laboratory animals, including new strain introduction, breeding plan formulation, strain conservation, strain recovery, assisted reproduction, tail cutting identification (gene identification).

• Participate in the construction of the biological purification and embryo transplantation laboratory and the procurement of related instruments and participate in the later management and maintenance.

• Responsible for the development of new technologies and the compilation of SOP, optimize the embryo operation technology system, improve the success rate and quality.

• Responsible for the overall management of animal resources in the biological purification and embryo transplantation laboratory, including daily management of animal rooms.

• Complete other tasks assigned by superiors.

工作职责：

• 负责实验动物的生物净化实验操作，包括体外受精(IVF)、胚胎移植、小鼠遗传物质冷冻、显微注射技术等；

• 负责实验动物的品系管理，包含新品系引入、繁育计划制定、品系保种、品系复苏、辅助生殖、剪尾鉴定（基因鉴定）；

• 参与生物净化及胚胎移植实验室的建设及相关仪器的采购，并参与后期的管理和维护；

• 负责新技术的开发及整理成SOP，优化胚胎操作技术体系，提高成功率及质量；

• 负责生物净化及胚胎移植实验室动物资源整体包括动物房日常事物管理等；

• 完成上级交办的其他工作。

Job requirements

Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above in biology or medical related disciplines.

• Experience in biological purification and conservation of rodent species, and embryo transplantation is preferred.

• Good animal experiment operation ability and rodent-related technical service and management experience.

• Good teamwork spirit, good communication, clear thinking, conscientious and responsible, and willing to serve.

• 具有较好动物实验操作能力和啮齿类相关技术服务及管理工作经验；
