美国第9届3Rs研讨会会议官方宣传海报

2022年6月22日至24日，由约翰斯·霍普金斯大学布隆博格公共卫生学院动物实验替代中心、美国农业部动物福利中心、美国国家卫生研究所动物福利办公室、约翰斯·霍普金斯大学医学院分子和比较病理学系联合主办的第九届年度3Rs研讨会在美国巴尔的摩市隆重召开。本次大会的主题是“通过合作提高动物福利，获取更加精确的结果”。受大会主办方的委托和邀请，中国实验动物学会理事长秦川代表中国实验动物学会参加了本次会议的线上会议并在会上发表了题为《中国实验动物福利和伦理介绍》的演讲。

研讨会上各国专家接受提问、答疑、讨论

本次大会以国际化的视角来看待实验动物福利和伦理。其中，来自亚洲、欧洲、非洲、南美洲等地区的专家、学者分享了其所地区有关实验动物福利和伦理的成功案例、存在的障碍以及通过国际合作对3Rs原则的促进作用。在会议答疑和讨论环节，与会专家就有针对性的热点问题进行了热烈讨论。

秦川教授的演讲，分别从中国实验动物福利伦理的历史、政策法规和机构设置、专业培训和实验动物福利伦理审查、国际合作和学术交流这四个方面介绍了中国实验动物福利和伦理的发展现状。她表示，从古代对动物的爱护到现代科学意义上的对实验动物福利伦理的认知、对替代技术的科学研究永远在路上，中国实验动物学会以及中国的专家、学者愿与世界上实验动物领域的同行一同努力，一起把这一领域的工作做得越来越好。同时，她祈祷全球新冠疫情能早日结束，这样能有更多机会进行线下国际交流和合作。

The annual 3Rs symposium, co-organized by Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing of Johns Hopkins Bloomberg, Animal Welfare Information Center US Department of Agriculture, Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare of National Institutes of Health, Department of Molecular and Comparative Pathobiology and Department of Molecular and Comparative Pathobiology of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, was held on 22nd, 23rd and 24th of June, 2022 in Baltimore of US. The theme of this symposium is Collaboration to Improve Animal Welfare and Rigorous Results. Invite by the organizer, the president of the Chinese Association for Laboratory Animal Sciences(CALAS) attended th e online meeting on behalf on CALAS and gave a presentation on Introduction of Laboratory Animal Welfare and Ethics in China.  

Experts from different countries discuss, answer questions

The symposium viewed laboratory animal from an international perspective. Experts and scholars from Asia, Europe, Africa, South America and other regions shared their successful stories, difficulties and the improvements on 3Rs through international cooperation. In question and answer session, the experts had strong targeted discussion on hot issues in animal welfare.

Professor Qin Chuan is giving a report

Professor Qin Chuan has introduced the development and current status of animal welfare and ethics in China from four aspects, namely the history of animal welfare and ethics in China, laws, regulations, standards and committee setting, professional training, review and approval for laboratory animal welfare and ethics and international cooperation and academic exchanges. She said that from animal care in China to the understanding of laboratory animal welfare and ethics , the scientific research on replacement and reduction, the education and training in modern times and we are always on the way. Chinese Association for Laboratory Animal Sciences(CALAS), Chinese experts and scholars would like to work together with all the experts worldwide to make this area better and better. Meanwhile, she hopes that the global epidemic can be over soon so that more international exchanges and cooperation activities can be held offline.
